Why was Roy Jr. hugging BHOPS Nuts so tightly?

I am watching the replay of the Taylor-Hopkins fight and instead of drunky Merchant making the fight almost unwatchable it's Roy Jones Jr. He was he openly rooting for BHOP instead of being professional.

If Hopkins had won, a fight between them would have been a larger draw .... or at least Roy believed so. There is still a chance they will meet a second time. But, no matter what he agenda was, Roy presented an extremely obnoxious side of his personality, and was very inaccurate in his analysis of the fight. I wish he had not been there.
