Texans hire Dan Reeves as "consultant"....
Sounds like a kiss of death for Dom Capers...

HOUSTON (AP) -- Grasping for answers in their 1-12 season, the Houston Texans hired former Atlanta coach Dan Reeves as a special consultant to team owner Bob McNair on Monday.

2. I was wondering why "Bullfrog" wasn't on Sirius this morning.
Now I know. I was afraid he was having heart problems again.

4. What I heard today on ESPN is that Reeves will be there for six weeks....
...but will be advising the owner. The door was open that he could be there longer. Of course that goes past their season. If he has the owner's ear, and is pushing things for the next six weeks, my bet is that he'll become the GM, or next head coach.

5. Yeah Dan Reeves can share the expertise
that kept Elway from getting sacked.

Watch out Texans he brought Tommy Maddox with him on his last three jobs.

6. hehe ... i kinda like dan reeves, but
he's had a hard time getting over that tommy maddox mistake :)

thinking about those denver teams of the 80s, it's just sad thinking how good they might have been if dan had just been a little less stubborn about getting elway the help he needed. Alas ...
