What is the deal with Eva Longeria? I do not hate her and I am not jealous of her, but as a person who cares about sports I do not see why people are making such a big deal about Eva Longeria being at the All-Star game and dating Tony Parker. I just do not see the big deal about her being in Houston or dating a basketball player. I am watching the Houston local news and they just made the biggest deal about her being in Houston. In my reasoning she is not the only actress who has dated or married a professional athlete or basketball player. Also I do not get why the Houston Chronicle insulted Tony Parker by calling him Mr. Eva Longeria. He was a sucessful popular basketball player before he started dating her. In addition, he is not a Kevin Fedderline type just living off of a woman. He is making his own money and living playing basketball. So I do not see why the Houston Chronicle called him Mr. Eva Longeria. I just think that was an insult to do that to a working man. I feel the same way about working women. If a woman make a living on her own without the guy she is dating she should not be called Ms. so-and-so. For instance calling Eva Longeria Ms. Tony Parker.
1. Welcome to journalism 101--today, the term celebrity journalism
is redundant. If it were anyone else as famous as Eva, such as Teri Hatcher, she'd be all over the news and he'd be Mr. Teri Hatcher. It's ridiculous, but what can you do?
3. He may not be living off a woman like Kevin Federline but
like Federline Parker is recording a rap album which I predict will suck just as bad.
Ok back to Eva, the only reason she is getting so much attention at these games is because the NBA and most people who cover sports are too busy catering to people with only a passing interest in sports. Real fans don't want to see close ups of her eating nachos during a game.
