1. slightly off-topic ranting
So they say "a product of Harvard" had the only perfect score.

I wonder how our favorite Yalie would do.

I hate this idea that you're somehow smarter than everyone else if your mom and dad can afford an Ivy League school.

:grr:

2. But he DOESN'T call the reports "a lie"
Edited on Mon Mar-06-06 10:12 PM by rocknation
"A rumor is a rumor to me, it's just like high school, they say you kissed some girl, but you really didn't, so that's how I feel about it," said Young, referring to the reported Wonderlic test scores.

Here how it works, yo--if people say you did something, and you really didn't, then you SAY that you really didn't. His stance certainly doesn't help squash the rumors about his intelligence. Why not DENY them, and REALLY put an end to it?

The rumor is that he scored only 12% on the test (6 of 50 questions correct). Then his agent said it was actually 32% (16 of 50). Since it's entirely possible that something was misheard, let's give him the benefit of the doubt and spot him the 32%. (Disclaimer: I scored 82% on the sample questions.)

3. yeah if i was as dumb as a bag of rocks
I'd consider it disrespectful for the pubic to know too. To score either a 6 or a 16 is embarassing. I think the guy who created the test said a score of 10 meant you were literate.

4. From profootballtalk.com:
Here's the last word (for now) on the Vince Young Wonderlic fiasco. Although one of our team-level sources told us on Sunday that no scores were reported for Young in the Wonderlic results that were distributed by the combine, two other sources tell us that the report shows Young scoring a 15 out of 50, with an indication that he answered only 33 of the questions in his 12-minute time allotment.

The report only mentions one score, ignoring completely the test Young took on Saturday.

Young's agent, Major Adams, previously acknowledged that the former Texas quarterback took a second test on Sunday. Adams claimed that Young got a 16.

To date, no one from the NFL or the combine has addressed Young's score from the first time he took the test, other than to say that the report that he got a six was inaccurate.

Until someone comes clean on what happened on Saturday, this story will continue to hang around. For now, we're going to assume that Vince got a six on Saturday, since no one has put forth any objective proof to the contrary.

8. "Young's agent...acknowledged
that the former Texas quarterback took a second test on Sunday. Adams claimed that Young got a 16."

And why take a second test at all--to pass the time? No wonder Young can't deny anything. The very fact that he DID take a second test is an indictment in itself!
