1. The Dude can grow an Earstache if he wants
Don't matter how he looks, the Dude can play basketball -- and the Zags are fun to watch.

Are you suggesting, Mr. Underpants, that Morrison get a John Bolton stache?

Eeeeeeeeeeeek !!!! I go crazy.

You are going to hear from the Stache Liberation Front (SLF), Mr. Underpants.

5. nO
I am only conveying what the experts say. Morrison can't wear the Bolton model because HE CAN'T GROW A 'STACHE!

2. Why?
I dig the retro-70's-white-trash look. It beats the hell out of ho-hum "look at all my tattoos!"

3. Tattoos? Was there a player with tattoos?

REally? Can you list them in alphabetical order?

:eyes:

This was the first I had seen Morrison play-I saw him on an off night but I called my brother and we were joking about this.

BTW_ about Morrison. He's diabetic and has quite the political outlook.

Yet it's curious that Morrison mostly gets a free pass for his bad behavior. Heck, he even gets a free pass for his left-leaning political beliefs in decidedly red Eastern Washington. He's presently reading "Confessions of an Economic Hit Man," John Perkins' book about how U.S. businesses manipulate and cheat poor countries.

No matter where you come down on the issues of politics, Guevara, health care and some of the other interesting things Morrison can talk about for days, you've got to appreciate this gutsy diabetic's hunger for knowledge at such a young age (19). Still, Morrison wants to make a difference in this world and already has in some cases.

Morrison: Che Guevara, Ray Bradburry, John Steinbeck, I love Of Mice and Men, Jack Kerouac, Neil Postman. Postman's the guy who wrote Amusing Ourselves To Death.

USA Basketball: What turns you on about Che?

Morrison: Just the adversity he dealt with in life, what he did for small countries of the world as a whole. Standing up for lower people, instead of the top tier. That takes a lot of guts on the world level to do that. So that's what's drawn me to him.

7. Seattle Writer Right
I would just like to point out that in my opinion the Seattle writer is right when he says that if Morrison were black things would be different. I do not dislike Morrison, but I really think that if he were black his behavior would bring much more negative comments. I think there would be less talk about how great he is and more about how horrible a teammate he is and how poorly he treats people. For anyone looking for an example of a black player treated different than Morrison think about Allen Iverson.

8. it's the Larry Bird exception
people talked about Bird as a great player, for a white guy, when he was really just a great player.

9. Actually you have hit the nail on the head
Byrd himself would admit that he talked all kinds of trash. That is a part of the game even if it is small talk. Byrd in his book said that talking is a part of the game.

I don't know that Larry berated fellow teammates though other than giving them a heads up and expecting them to respond but usually out of sight of anyone else.

4. That guy is the oddest looking fella
And he doesn't do much in the way of downplaying the negatives. Of course, Kevin Pitsnogle (sp) doesn't help himself out much n that regard, either.
