BEAVERMANIA SWEEPS BASEBALL WORLD
Congratulations to the OSU Beavers, College World Series Champions. The tarheels will have to gnaw on that for a year. Its so DAM good to have a champion outside then normal half dozen or so big names.

2. only the second national title for a Beaver Team!
the other was in 61, I think, cross country or something like that. Good job for the boys from Corvallis. It was nice to watch both teams, though, since most of the players were in state, unlike the big powerhouses. It was actually like watching the state of North Carolina play the State of Oregon, the way these things should be.

6. Clutch performance by the Beavers...
They played their best when it was needed the most. It is nice to see a new name win the CWS.

I'll fully admit that I didn't think OSU had a chance. I picked Rice, and OSU manhandled them.
