Forget the Mannings, what about a Schottenheimer Bowl?
If the Jets survive their wildcard game, it's very likely that their next game would be in San Diego - which would pit the Chargers head coach against the Jets offensive coordinator.

Could you imagine being Brian Schottenheimer - trying to call the best plays to deny your father possibly his last chance at ever coaching in the Super Bowl.

1. given marty's history
marty schottenheimer has a terrible history in the playoffs. i would have to give the edge to Brian in that match up based on that history.

2. Life is good...
...when all anyone can point out as your team's weakness is your head coach's playoff record.

Besides, given yesterdays performances, you can stick a fork in the Jets. I'm more worried about the Bolts having to face the Bengals again in the playoffs. They are starting to peak at the right time

4. Marty is a great "regular" season coach, but
manages to go brain dead in the playoffs.

6. It's beginning to look a lot like a Schottenheimer Bowl
Especially if Denver wins and the Jets play the Colts.
