Criticism of Stern
Does anyone think the criticism David Stern is getting this year is uncalled for. It seems that some people are angry with Stern for changing the ball and pushing for players to get technical fouls for arguing calls.

I just read David Zirin's latest article and I tend to think it goes too far in its criticism of Stern. First, I think Stern was right to suspend Carmelo Anthony for 15 games. Anthony knew what he was going to do was wrong and could hurt the league. I do not think these players should be allowed to do whatever they feel like doing. In addition, the new ball did not seem to be that bad to me. It seems to me that scoring was up even though many players said the scoring would take major hit. I understand their hand were getting blistered, but could they not have just gotten some type of cream or medication to put on their hands. A link to Zirin's latest article is below.
