1. Unsuprisingly, I'm sticking up for England
Although I don't think that we'll do all that well in a 1 day tournament at the moment.

2. England chances will rest on Peterison and Panesar
England chances will rely on Peterison and Panesar.

I dont seem them getting to the semis though.

5. Collingwood and Flintoff
are likely to be just as important to England's chances. The problem is that much of the squad is relatively inexperienced and that will count against them in this sort of tournament.

6. Well I hope
The pitch for the New Zealand versus England game isnt as low and slow as it was for the West Indies versus Pakistan.

I really think its the blackcaps time, perhaps Im being biased, but we have an extremly well balanced side.

3. any reason why you dont think Australia will make the semis?
I'm biased of course and maybe Australia's recent run of bad results was the tonic they needed to wake up and realise that the rest of world cricket won't just lie down.

mine for the semis

Australia
South Africa
Sri Lanka
West Indies - in front of the home crowds

peace

7. Well
I think your bowling may be a bit thin, McGarth is the only bowler I think that will trouble the blackcaps, your batting is fine, I mean yeepers, your batting is brillant, but on these small ground, I think your bolwers may take a hammering.

I wouldnt have the West Indies in the semis. I think the player to watch out for is Malinga for Sri lanka, he was deadly against us this summer.

9. Don't write off Tait too easily.
And Stuart Clark could take a wicket or two.

My picks for the finals are:

AUSTRALIA
SRI LANKA
SOUTH AFRICA
NEW ZEALAND

18. England were probably hungover from all that binge drinking
Edited on Sun Mar-18-07 02:39 PM by stormymonday
It appears half the team think the reason they were sent to the West Indies was to get sloshed.

http://www.thisislondon.co.uk/news/article-23389410-details/Cricket+legends+slam+Flintoff's+'boozy+antics'+which+led+to+match+ban/article.do

Flintoff clearly has more than passing problem with the bottle.

19. Just in: Pakistan coach Bob Woolmer
was found unconscious in his hotelroom and declared head at hospital. Looks like a heart attack after that shock defeat by Ireland yesterday. This is too sad.
