University of Tennessee Wins Women's Title
The University of Tennessee won the women's basketball national championship last night by defeating Rutgers University. This is the seventh national championship title for Coach Pat Summitt and the University of Tennessee.

On another note how do people feel about the play during the women's tournament? There are some that are saying the play during the tournament was rather sloppy and unimpressive. I say one stat that showed that in the final two round the University of Tennessee shot 27% and 34%. So what do others think? I was not able to watch any of the games in that they were played on ESPN 2 so I really cannot say anything either way. The only thing I can say is I think sometimes people focus on the shooting precentages from the women's game without looking at the fact that sometimes the same thing happens in the men's game.

Also, can anyone tell me why foreign team are able to pay female basketball so much more than the WNBA? Top WNBA players make can make up to about $93,000 a year in their first three years. Some foreign countries, like Russia are paying top players in the high 6 figures and the low seven figures.
