You must be a Canadian...lol...Although I do admit it has this strange hold on me every 4 years during the Olympics

all other sports come in a distant 5th

Obviously that encompasses plenty of sports, but as an unmatched spectacle -- even by the World Cup, which I've also attended -- the Olympics is an easy choice.

Otherwise:

* College football
* NFL Football
* Professional golf

Basketball, especially NCAA, would place high if it got rid of the absurd 3-point shot, which predictably destroyed the quality of the sport. I have tapes from the mid '80s, when you actually had players moving without the ball and crashing the boards, not standing with their toes behind an arbitrary line.

Only sports I don't like are auto racing and baseball, although I agree with Champ, the baseball postseason is a different animal, terrific intensity.
