Bobby Knight Gets 900th Win
Last night coach Bobby Knight coached his team at Texas Tech to a win, which was also Bobby Knight's 900th win. I have three questions I would like you all to answer. First, what do you think about Knight's 900th win? Second, how do you think Knight will be remembered? Third, if Bobby Knight had been black do you think he would have been allowed to continue coaching with all the things he was accused of doing?

The two last questions came about as a result of a discussion on the ESPN show called "First Take", which has a segment called "1st and 10". The segment started off with the host asking the question "How would Bobby Knight be remembered in 50 years?". Rob Parker said Knight would be remembered as a bad guy and a "monster". Skip Bayless added that people will remember him as a good college basketball coach. At about the end of the segment Parker asked the question, "If Knight had been black how long would he have coached without being fired?" So, what does everyone think on those points.

The 900 wins is a big accomplishment. I contend Knight will be remembered as a good college basketball coach, who did some crazy things. In terms of what would have happened if Knight had been black, I do not know. I guess it depends on whether a coach is winning and how the school and the fans feel about the sport and the coach. In recent years we have seen instances in which white and black coaches who had farely good winning records were fired, even though they were nice guys, just because they did not win enough games or certain games. So, I am not sure what would have happened if Knight had been black. So, what do other think?

1. And hopefully Eddie Sutton will get his 800th this season
He's stuck at 798 and is coaching San Francisco on an interim basis.
