Dinger's NFC Championship Report (W/Pics):
Edited on Mon Jan-21-08 05:23 PM by Dinger
I posted this in the Wisconsin forum too.

First of all, congratulations to the Giants. There were not very many Giant fans at Lambeau, but the few we talked to were classy and friendly. They were especially happy for the win because of their respect for the Packers, Brett, etc.
As far as was the season a success? Yes. As hard as the loss yesterday was, there are some things to consider:
1. Our team is on the upswing, not a downswing.
2. Added to that, we are the youngest team in the NFl, and logic says we will only get better.
3. The last time we lost a NFC Championship game, we went on to go to the next two Superbowls,
and took home the Lombardi Trophy one of those times.
4. More likely that Brett will be back next year.

*Feel free to add any I might have left out.

2. Thanks for the report and pics, Ding
It was a great game. The Packers have no cause to hang their heads. They played tough. Somehow it just seemed to be in the cards for the Giants to win.

I was looking forward to a Pack-Pats Super Bowl, which I feel would have been a humdinger...but I suppose the Giants will Gear On Up, and make a credible showing in two weeks.

I used to follow the Giants in the late 50s, when their games were televised all through New England. But when the Pats incarnated with the AFC in the 60s, they became MY team. I'd love to see them go ALL THE WAY.

6. Those a very cool (so to speak) photos! -- I cannot
imagine living someplace so ridiculously cold!

Boy, that's a lot of television news satellite trucks in pic #2

And why is there always one guy that feels he has to take his shirt off in the cold? :eyes:

7. as a Giants fan
I've heard so many stories about how classy the Packers fans were. I have great respect for that franchise and hope Favre comes back. He's my favorite non-Giant player. I think you guys will be good again. I think the two teams that played on Sunday will be the best in the NFC next year.
