Code of Conduct for Fans?? Good idea??
The Saints will implement a fan code of conduct starting tomorrow night in their home preseason game with the Texans. The code will target drunkeness, abusive language, and general fan assholery.

I haven't been to a game in a long time but I do appreciate the attempts at civility and then I thought why do "fans" gather to cheer on their warriors? Wouldn't it be like a code of conduct for foreplay and sexual intercourse. No cussing, grunting or moaning and no touching. And orgasms are strictly forbidden. But make sure you enjoy yourself.

2. Well being super drunk... that's a ticketable offense anyway isn't it?
And cursing is kinda iffy, cause cursing sure yeah fine... but some fans can say some really sick shit, and that's just messed up. They should let people jeer the opposing side though... if it's not sick or horrible... well I consider that just normal fan behavior. Maybe I'm unclear on what a 'normal' fan does. :P

The rules about not throwing things on the field and doing what the staff tells them... those seem like good ideas.

Not sure about 'blocking the view'... in soccer stadiums there's areas where you're allowed to stand and chant, so maybe instead of just banning it outright they should have an area for fans who don't just want to sit on their ass.
