The Ravens and the 49ers were both 5-11 in 2007
but one had the audacity of hope and will play in the AFC Championship game, while the other--- well--- I'll let one of their fans describe them:

"At least my team can recognize when it's not good enough to be in the playoffs".

1. And so far the Ravens have beaten a pretender and a contender
in their playoff run. We all know the contender was the Titans.

2. Why would we "all" know that?
I personally think the Titans were vastly overrated this season.

4. The Dolphin's weak schedule has been well documented
only 3 games against playoff teams, losing twice. By contrast, the Titans played 5 games versus clubs that made the playoffs, winning 4 times.

Add to that, the Dolphin's were not even competitive on their home field in their first playoff game in years. The Ravens exposed Miami as nothing but illusion, a record bolstered by a weak schedule..when, in reality, they were no better than an average team.

None of the above can be said about the Titans.

I laugh hard at knuckleheads like yourself who diss a team that the year before won only one game----Then turn around and win 11 the next season...

BTW: With 9 minutes left in the game, Miami was driving for a score that would have put them 3 behind the Ravens.... If not for a fumbled hand off to Tedd Ginn that pushed them back 20 yards, they probably would have scored. Oh I know---woulda should coulda.... but when you say Miami didn't make the game competitive, it clearly shows your dipshititude.

One thing that I can say about the difference between the Phins and the Titans.... One is a huge disappointment to their fans, the other, a shining beacon of hope that the franchise just may be heading in the right direction.

Oh fuck it--- Go fuck yourself.

10. You sound like a broken record. BLAH BLAH they won only
one game and then win a whole 11 against a bunch of easy teams.

You'd think Miami cured cancer with the way you talk.

And then my favorite part is when the bullshit meter has exploded and you say, "go fuck yourself."

That pretty much sums up a trumad "argument" in a nutshell.

12. I'd say calling it a weak schedule is being extraordinarily
kind.

They'll go down as one of the most over-rated 11-5 teams in NFL history.

It turns out even Arizona with a worst record is better.

It turns out even San Diego with a worst record is better.

You'd think trumad would quit while he's behind.

Edited on Sun Jan-11-09 12:56 PM by Forkboy
Not sure that qualifies as "an atrocious" division. Look at the NFC East...Philly came in second with 9 wins. In the AFC East 11 wins didn't make the playoffs.

Just sayin' :)

Unless of course you're talking about the NFC West, in which case, nevermind. :D

I think the Dolphins had a great year. Someone was telling me about how much improvemnt their favorite team showed even with a losing record.

19. Here's how fucking dumb you are. You're implying that
Baltimore had a losing record this season and therefore didn't deserve to be in the playoffs due to the fact I said the 49ers shouldn't.

Baltimore 11-5 = deserves to be in playoffs.
San Fran. 7-9 = does NOT deserve to be in playoffs.

Get it now Einstein?

Ya see--- back at the beginning of the season--- a season where both teams knew they had to improve on a 5 win season in 2007--- one team decided that maybe--- just maybe, they could go all the way. That would be the Ravens.

Now the other team, according to it's number one fan, errr Cboy, apparently recognized that it wasn't good enough to be in the playoffs, so they decided to coast and basically tank the season. Uh---again, that would be according to their biggest fan.

sense.

And all of a sudden, we're back to the irrelevancy of the 2007 season.

Or whatever the public transit is.

Who would be interested in the Raiders playing the 49'ers!!

31. It would be called the Bay Bridge Bowl, even though
BART connects Oakland and San Francisco via the longest immersed tunnel (Trans-Bay Tube) in the world .. about four miles.
