Manning's choke
with the exception of the 2 superbowl wins the Mannings usually choke. Peyton until the Super Bowl win(even at Tennessee) choked all the time and since the Super Bowl has reverted back to form. Eli gagged it yesterday.

1. "choke" is the most overused word in sports
The Eagles defense deserves the credit.

2. Both "choke" and its analog, "clutch".
I'd be a reasonably happy person if I never heard of either concept ever again.

3. I don't think Eli choked yesterday.
He didn't have a good game, but the conditions also weren't so great. It's hard to say that these two guys with rings choke. They've actually won. McNabb is a different story.

4. True enough. Until the Eagles actually WIN a Super Bowl. . .
McNabb will be known as a "choker". Same thing for Phillip Rivers/SD Chargers.

6. And by the definition used, every quarterback is a choker.
Tom Brady would have to be considered the worst choker of all. No other QB has ever lost a SB with an undefeated team.

7. I dunno about that.

A QB that directs a game-winning TD drive in the Super Bowl against the NFL's only 16-0 regular season team should probably get a lifelong exemption from the "choker" label.

On edit: I'm no fan of either Manning, but let's give the guy his due.
