4. If he had been on the US squad
maybe they'd be in the final too.

7. Maybe they were worried about the game being tainted.
Who would Pete Rose have gambled on??

9. Tainted by whom?
Certainly not by Bonds...Has there been a conviction or confession I don't know about?

Barry was included in the original roster for the 2006 WBC but he eventually pulled out because he was coming off of knee surgery. US officials didn't seem to be worried about anything being "tainted" then and this was at a time when the Bonds haters in the media were already out in force, spreading their unsubstantiated allegations.

11. I beg to differ
the obsessive dislike of Bonds by the haters is what borders on the stupid. You've admitted, as have others, that this hate started well before any charges of steroid use surfaced.

BTW, the inclusion of Barry into the US lineup, provided he was receptive to it, could only have served to be a plus.

12. Uh yeah by that logic the Nationals are gonna win the WS
Edited on Tue Mar-24-09 10:05 AM by TZ
cause they have Adam Dunn!
Bonds was NEVER on a WS winning team. I think thats telling. He's just like Arod in that he's not at all a good team player.
I might dislike Bonds, but your logic is sooooo flawed when it comes to him, its not even funny.

13. Lets see here
Ty Cobb, George Sisler, Ted Williams, Willie McCovey, Ernie Banks, and Carl Yastrzemski were never on WS winners either, yet they're all in the Hall of Fame...do you doubt the greatness of any of them?

16. Perhaps you should put on your glasses
there's no real similarity in my writing style and that of cboy's. While the argument we present is shared by many others as we have documented here in the past.

5. A Korean player slid head first into 2nd.
His head hit the 2nd baseman's knee and the helmet cracked. Thankfully it didn't cut him, but it rang his bell.

They're carpetbaggers from Anaheim.
