UNC, Wake and the Dookies are all in the top 10. What was NC State's ranking again?

5. I seem to recall a year,
could've been 1983? After a lackluster first half of the season beset by injuries, a team in the ACC used an upset victory of their arch-rival as a springboard into the National Championship game. Which they won.

The point was that we have had a lot of people be out of a lot of games when we started losing.
