2. Yeah. It sure would have been nice for the Giants to win
St. Louis is a very good team and the NL Central is a great race so far and a Cards loss would have benefitted the Cubs.

22. my point, which you missed,
is not about spending all the money on players. It's firing everybody the next year was total bullshit. It says we only want a championship at all costs, we don't care about the players or the fans of those players. Did it occur to the greedhead owners that those same fans may have wanted another championship with the same team kept intact? Talk about douche bags.

24. Your point is invalid...
The Marlins have two world series championships and I thank Wayne H. for one of them.

The man is a business man and was losing millions---- so he got rid of his high priced players---players---not Management staff..

That management staff traded the best players and was able to use the new talent to win a series 5 years later.

26. and they could have won more
instead of having to wait 5 years. Business man, my ass. He and all those pampered, manicured, are basically just playing games with major capitol. They could be using that money for good instead of playing Machiavellian games. I hope they all choke on their billions.

10. Nice change of subject. (pete and re-pete in action again)!
You conveniently forget that in the last 55 years the Pirates have won the WS three times and the Marlins twice!

Not those two mediocre douche bags.

I recommend you do with their threads what I do with most of their threads (and in fact to most of yours). Just let pass like a train in the night, roll over and go back to sleep.

20. Now, that's not true
The Giants are at .500. That is the very epitome of mediocre.

If you want a team that will have to work hard to get to mediocre, look at the Washington Nats. Or just go across the Bay and look at the A's.
