A-phucking-mazing! (Spoiler)
Robin Soderling beat Rafael Nadal...I thought Nadal might have a tougher time this year as he was beaten by Roger in Madrid and other players were giving him tougher matches than in the past, but to go out in the fourth round is a shocker...

1. 31-0. Until today.
Door's open for Federer. But there will always be an asterisk if he pulls it out.

2. Surely you joke, an asterik????
Why? He didn't take steroids...and the way Nadal was playing Roger might have beaten him...just because someone doesn't play their best doesn't take away from someone else's win.

3. Are you kidding me, joey.
When's the last time Federer beat Nadal? On fucking clay? On any surface? Roger's in the twilight of his career. Take this win as a gift. Which is what it is.

10. Federer's twilight 2008
runner up in the French & Wimbledon and #1 @ the U.S. Open.

Granted Rafa is damn tough and a legit #1 in the world but those who say Federer is done
show very little knowledge.

11. Very little knowledge, huh?
Sports Illustrated two, three weeks ago. The title of the piece? How Nadal broke Federer. The journalist covers tennis for SI. I'm pretty sure he knows a fuck of alot more than you. Just guessing. Look it up.

*********
btw a lot should be two words.

Rafa is damn good ... no doubt ... but just because something is in S.I. ( not SI.) does not mean it is golden.

Federer will be 28 in August and great men's tennis is a young man's game ...... and Roger has lots of miles on
him already .... time will tell. BTW I am sure Roger forgets more about tennis than you and I could ever know in
a billion lifetimes ...... betya he has watched plenty of film and knows where he needs to work on as per Rafa.

Federer might have between 1 and 4 seasons left as a real player in the majors.

********
BTW wasn't R.F. down 2 sets to love today?
also watch the 4th set from Wimbledon last year Roger played some of his greatest tennis ever in that set.

p.s. I love Rafa's game too. His side-kick topspin forehand is awesome.

13. My free hat says SI, Botany.
First of all, thanks for weighing in. If you're not posting about the MAJOR sports, you don't get much action. So, you read the article. Very intersting. I have nothing against Roger. I know he's up there in the Borg, McEnroe ranks. Nadal-not yet. My point is, sometimes the sports gods open the door. Who else can explain the NY Mets in 69. The door's open for Roger. I hope he takes it. If he does, sportswriters will say " yeah, but he didn't beat Rafa". Unfair? Damn right. Federer is a gentleman. And, a winner.

9. Chris Evert is the greatest clay court player ever of the women, but
there were a few years when she skipped the French and a few years when she lost when not playing so well...guess the people who won those years need an asterik also.
