Edited on Thu Oct-27-05 08:26 AM by jody
produces arrests for Marijuana versus arrests for other illegal drugs?

The DEA Staffing & Budget summary for 2004 shows 5,296 special agents, 5,598 support staff, and a $2.141 billion budget.

ON EDIT ADD:
Those stats are for all DEA operations including marijuana.

2. No, the stats are for the entire DEA although there may be other agents
and funds that are not part of DEA's official budget.

4. I found my answer, 20.9% of DEA arrests for cannabis.
"In FY 2003, the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) made 5,679 arrests related to cannabis, accounting for 20.9% of all DEA arrests during the year."

5. It's state and local cops who make most of the arrests
and pot is a big part of their business. Marijuana accounted for 44.5% of all drug arrests last year, according to the FBI's Uniform Crime Report. About 700,000 people arrested for pot, 80% for simple possession.
