Here are a few pictures I took at the conference and on the day of the march.

And the march begins:




One of the best moments was when the march reached the White House. The police told us there were group of rival Syrians protesting in Lafayette Park (across from the White House) and several fights had broken out the day before. But when the teachers came marching by, the Syrians stopped and joined us chanting "SAVE OUR SCHOOLS!"

I guess we all know now how to achieve world peace - get the teachers involved :)

The tombstone for art, music, and PE is a sad sight.

CNN is finally covering the march, THIS morning - week old news.

Currently they have Matt Damon's mother on with Bill Bennett, debating standardized testing. Matt's mom once took Matt out of a standardized test. She is holding her own against Bennett. She's doing a great job.
