This was so well said and true:
"Honestly, on its own,
I'm not sure which way the arc of history is bending for us.
So far, it only seems to bend
When we ourselves have the courage and conviction to bend it.
This was the lesson of Harvey Milk, of ACTUP, of the Stonewall, Compton Cafeteria, and White Night Riots."
We have to be the one's to work this, to stay focused and committed. Yes, allies are needed, but, we have to do the heavy lifting and keep the issue alive - no one else will.
The other line that struck me: "In other words, my issues are pretty much the issues of most working class Americans, only they're exacerbated by being female and gay."
When people say that they have other more important issues and gay rights is not number one for them.
Fine. They just need to remember that every other social, economic, military, and political issue is ours also plus the burden of bigotry.
Not to pry, but:

If I can help with any research PM me. :pals:
