I'm sorry you're getting dumped on not only by Obama by the Warren fiasco but by the ususal suspects on DU, too. It disgusts me, but I'm not suprised.

There's no excuse for Warren to be a part of the Inaugration, and I won't be watching. I'm just sick about this.

You'll always have an ally w/ me, no matter what.

Keep fighting for the rights you deserve, and I'll stand beside you and fight, too.

1. Thank you. Sorry that the assholes around here drown out voices like yours.
How hard is it for them to just understand our disappointment and shut the fuck up?

3. Me too.
There is no excuse for Warren to be part of the Inaugeration, and I will continue to fight alongside you for your rights. I don't understand a lot of people sometimes.

6. thank you
100,000+ people on this board and less than a dozen or so have expressed unconditional support. I am saddened by how many variations of "relax, it is just a speech" I have read today. I am beginning to wonder if I really belong here

Peace to all my friends

7. Thank you. I'll always fight for your human rights as well.
I don't fight for "gay rights." I fight for human rights for all. I'm glad that you are on my side.

8. And you can add my name to this list.
I won't be watching the inauguration either. I just can't. And as a black person, I'm even more so disappointed in denying myself this sight, because I never thought I'd live to see this day. But now its already ruined.

Because for me, tolerating the intolerant for the sake of so-called "inclusion" is intolerable.

- There is no middle ground when it comes to civil rights.

I can't believe my eyes today. I will always stand up for gay rights. Waking up to Prop 8 passing really ruined the Presidential victory morning for me. I'm not even gay. But how dumb does a person have to be not to see how this matters? Gah!!

12. I also STAND with you unconditionally.
The Battle for Rights is not a GLBT Issue.
It is an American Issue.

13. I won't be watching either.
I just can't make myself watch anything
where bigotry is given a voice.

14. I'm with you too
I haven't participated in any of the many threads on Warren because if I said what I wanted to say, which would start with "I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU PEOPLE!" and end with "FUCK YOU, BIGOTS!" (as you can tell, I'm not very articulate and I can be a hothead), my lowly post count would probably get me marked as a troll or something and disregarded. But frankly, I really can't believe the rationalizations people have been coming up with to excuse this, and the total disregard some people have of your feelings. The mind boggles. I've been lurking for a long long time (was even here for several months in 2004) and while I really don't think the majority of DU'ers are bigots, some clearly are, and I have no patience with them. I'd get myself banned pretty quickly if I opened my big mouth too much. So, that's not a good excuse, but it's why I haven't been speaking up. Here, anyway. I have been quite vocal on other message boards under different names.

I won't be watching the Inauguration, which just kills me. The high I had when I was at Grant Park with my husband, cheering and crying in elated glee with hundreds of thousands of other people, was quickly dashed when I got home and looked up other results on the internet. California, Arizona, Arkansas, Florida. I'm not gay and I felt punched in the stomach.

This Warren pick is not inclusion, it's a big "Fuck you" and I can't believe that someone I thought was so compassionate and caring doesn't understand that. It's making me look at Obama in a different way, and I hate that too.

Anyway, I am with you. I will march for and with you, and give money to your causes, and vote for your rights. It's the least I can do.

16. Not only will I stand with the GLBT community,
So will my 15 and 12 year old sons.
After hearing about the invitation and what Rick Warren believes about gay people and women, we had a long discussion about human rights and how the gay community is being asked to constantly take a back seat for the good of the party. Your time will come, be patient. This isn’t the time to rock the boat and so forth. To which my son 15 year old replied, “that’s bull!” and my 12 year old made a grrr face and agreed. Later their grandmother come to visit and she was greeted by a barrage of outrage over the horrible decision to invite this bigot.

over the level of "support" for the GLBT community by alleged "progressives"...
