The enemy is out there. Don�t waste your time and efforts � and your precious ammunition � bringing down those who are your allies and friends.

Aim your anger at the target � the warmonger, the torturer, the bigot, the hypocrite, the greedy corporatist, the corrupt politician. Let your rage set him in your sights, let your outrage give him no refuge, let your strength of purpose afford him no means of escape.

I disagree with that. He is responsible for selecting Warren and we have the right and responsibility to be angry and voice our opposition to that choice.

My anger at Bush and his fellow warmongers far exceeds any anger I feel towards Obama, but just because Obama is not anywhere near as bad as Bush doesn't mean that he doesn't deserve our anger when he makes a hurtful and stupid choice.

8. I think the last sentence identifies the traits we should aim our attacks at...

rather than identifying specific people or groups. I have called Obama religiously bigoted on the specific issue of marriage equality and I'm not afraid to call him out on that, with the complete hope and understanding that he may begin to understand where I am coming from. If he can demonstrate tolerance toward the constitutional laws that should provide marriage equality, at least for the time being in California and a few other states, then I will take that back.

but i can't take anybody seriously that shills for a politician and bases her writing on spinning things to always show that politician in a favorable light,even if it is a politician i tend to like. This is nothing against NanceGreggs, personally.

9. I don't think that post is "shilling for a politician"....

I think many DUers, including myself on occaision, are upset by the personal attacks against fellow DUers. I think we can attack those traits that we find fault with without making it too personal. Rick Warren is another matter, and if he should join DU then I would have to tone it down. I wonder how long it would take for him to get tombstoned?
