So, what are we up to this Sunday morning?
Edited on Sun Jan-25-09 10:32 AM by Jamastiene
Me? I'm taking a short break from grinding. I finally found a way to make myself go back and keep trying for 99 agility in Runescape. I took the number of laps around the agility course that I am training on and made that many magic long bows. Actually, I only made enough to get down to an even 3,000. I can only hi alchemize 1 per successful lap. That'll make me keep at it.

I did that all night long and I'm tired. My eyes are damn near crossing. I have 3217 laps to go. Yawn.

So, what are y'all up to today? Any fun activities for us here on DU planned? Can we have a GLBT Word Association thread at some point or something to entertain ourselves while we try to figure out how to get some basic rights?

7. It is keeping me very busy.
Training agility gets monotonous after a while, but I keep seeing these people doing the agility skill cape emote. I want one. So few have the agility cape, but I keep seeing them. It's like one of those unexplainable things that comes over a person where they MUST have that. I rarely get those.

http://runescape.wikia.com/wiki/Agility_cape

Here is what the emote looks like:

8. I'm drinking tea this morning.
I ran out of Dr Pepper last night and decided I'd try to go a day on tea and see if I can make it. So far, so good. Except I have a problem: I'm out of tea bags now too. I almost screwed up the tea. I forgot to put the baking soda in it while it was still on the stove. Instead, I put it in after adding it to the container. It didn't do the sizzle thing. I miss the sizzle thing. I guess I'll have to go to the store when my aunt wakes up and get some Dr Pepper AND tea now.

33. Honey? In tea?
A slice of lemon, I can understand, but honey? Nah, not me. Jack Daniels, honey, lemon juice, and hot water are good together, but I've never tried throwing tea into the mix. I might now that you just gave me the idea. What the worst that could happen?

Me... drunk... tea... bourbon... my propensity to climb anything and everything around when I'm drunk... and I now live on a hill.

32. It takes the bitterness out of cheap bitter tea.
I learned it from my step father. It doesn't hurt it. It's only a small amount, like 1/8 of a teaspoon, a pinch.

31. Just a pinch.
It takes the bitterness, if there is any, out of it. I don't use herbal teas and stuff like that. I can only afford Lipton...or whatever is on sale.

I'm drinking Mt. Dew right now. I like that too.

36. OMG, what are the System Requirements?
*crosses fingers hoping for just a generic Open GL or Direct X video card* Please, please, please let my video card be good enough to at least try it out.

I used to dream of becoming a sniper in the army when I was a kid. When I grew up a little and realized they won't let women do combat, I decided not to join the army at all then. Screw it. I get to be a sniper vicariously through video games though. I used to love WWII GI. That was a great one back in the day...the days of DOS based games with graphics that sucked, but still I was soooo happy to fight against the Nazis in that game. It was GREAT!

39. Platform game XBOX 360
But, this is the 5th in the Call of Duty series, the first 1-3 were on the old XBOX, which I believe might be found at resale for less than the cost of the new XBOX360. Those were great games and there are a ton of good games on the XBOX system, like the outstanding HALO series.
