IMHO, Mitchell is classy and one of the best reporters around, but a gay icon? What do you think?

Each week, one of us is lucky to have the opportunity to call up big New York City magazine and newspaper editors and shoot the breeze. Remnick! Graydon! Keller! What a job! But whenever he brags to friends about it, it never really goes over well. They either don’t know or don’t care.

This all changed a few weeks ago when the reporter spoke to Andrea Mitchell, the NBC News veteran. After casually telling one of our mutual friends, James, that there was an interview with Andrea Mitchell, he lost it.

On Gchat: “5:31 PM James: !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

Followed by: “it just boggles the mind that andrea mitchell knows who you are. this makes me giddy.”

I may be "out of the loop" with some of these things, but I'm willing to wager Andrea Mitchell is not high on the icon scale.

I used to collect stamps as a pup, now, I am starting to collect slurs. It's less expensive then stamps and new ones seem printed daily.

So,how did this piece of sh*t journalism turn into a story? Well, the OP sent an email to their gay friends, I wonder if they disclosed that their comments would become part of an article and a written published piece to make them sound like idiots?

Their alleged "gay friends" camped it up in their email reply and thus, the OP wrote a story about gays going Ga-ga over Mitchell.

Then, they did even more probing journalism. MySpace! :sarcasm:

So, I went to the link, and sure enough, to my shock. shock I tell you, I unleashed a torrent of Ann Coutler level of political discourse. It seems Andrea Mitchell, is reviled for her looks! why? because to some "she looks like a man." :grr:
