Homophobia and racism are equally bad.

They're also probably equally prevalent.

In any case, playing the "who's more oppressed" game helps no one.

Seriously.

All forms of oppression and discrimination suck. All are more prevalent than they should be.

One is based on race, the other on sexual preference.

In a college psychology class I took, we were taught to differentiate between discrimination (bigotry in deed) and prejudice (bigotry in thought). For instance a "non-prejudiced discriminator" would be a bank lender who has no problem having non-white neighbors, but nonetheless adheres to his employer's unspoken policy not to make homeower loans to minorities.

What matters is that we do what we can to keep more people from having to experience it.
