Is iTunes anti-gay?
So much of the disco club hits are not to be found on iTunes- I mean entire artists and some whole companies.

Dance Little Dreamer - Bionic Boogie

Magic Love - Michelle

Love's in You - Giorgio and Chris

Why Can't We Live Together (Dream Version)- Mike Anthony

probably a hundred others

2. They promote Gay Pride a bunch...
I'm not sure if I should be embarrassed to admit that I don't know the tracks you listed... Should I turn in my VIP card?

Dance Little Dreamer - Bionic Boogie

Dance Little Dreamer is probably the only song on the list that if you were alive and over 18 you should have heard it. But their song "Risky Changes" was actually more popular and may have actually been the A Side, I can't remember.

Magic Love - Michelle

Whenever I mention Magic Love and Michelle, everyone says, "Who?". One of a parade of disco performers I suppose.

Love's in You - Giorgio and Chris I don't think this was ever played in a club after 10PM, it's too slow.

Why Can't We Live Together (Dream Version)- Mike Anthony This song is the real reason I posted. It was hot and got quite a bit of play in San Francisco, which actually doesn't mean much in terms of dance music popularity for the time. No one ever said, "Oh, it's a huge hit in SF." about any song, New York was pretty much the epicenter of Disco. The thing which distinguished the Mike Anthony 12 inch single was that it was a dance mix and a "dream version".
Everything is a dream version these days, but back then the effects were new. You might recall Stevie Wonder releasing a perfectly inappropriate dream version of "Isnt she lovely?" about the same time.

3. They're just anti-crappy music
;-) Apple is a very gay friendly company. They get high marks from HRC and many others.

12. No Disco song is crappy! Not one!
The timeline of the history of music is Mozart, Beethoven, Donna Summer.

6. they donated to defeat prop 8 and were one of the first companies to have anti-discrimination
policies for their GLBT workers.

iTunes also does not sell the Beattles or Bob Seagar - so they must be anti-British! That or they only sell music that labels allow them to (meaning the Beattles are not for sell anywhere legally online - same with most of the old artist you mentioned).

8. Beatles may be coming soon. There are license issues with their music.
The lack of Bob Seger just shows that Apple has standards.;)

10. Apple has standards? They used to use Polyphonic Spree in their ads.
Some groups inspire you to turn off the radio. Others inspire you to kill.

19. Anti-gay? Really?
I suppose if you look hard enough, you can find "anti-gay" in just about everything, but I think they are really just "anti-shitty music" myself.

20. Check BeatPort.
http://www.beatport.com

Quality is so much better than anything you download from iTunes, IMHO.
