I've been told that since he posts in the GLBT forum, it does not.

I am very sensitive to that particular manifestation of homphobia. What I caught was a joke of questionable taste, but not a aspersion to Wilson being Gay. so , I vote no. at least for me.

Granted, the joke was in questionable taste.

But it didn't occur to me that anyone would think I was saying that because Joe Wilson is bad, he must be gay.

Or that David Vitter and Nancy Pelosi were somehow gay.

I apologize for any misunderstanding on these points.

If the OP had said, "Your post is insensitive because of... etc." I would have understood and gone back and changed or deleted it before editing time expired.

I don't mind being called on it when I have such lapses-- most people have such moments once in a while.

But to be flat-out called a bigot and a hater is counter-productive, does nothing to instruct me, and diminishes the very argument the person was trying to make in the first place.

I'll accept responsibility for being insensitive, and I'll back-up anyone's right to be offended.

But simply tossing in a hand grenade here and making reckless accusations of being a bigot benefits nobody except the folks at Citizens United Not Timid.

But what COULD have been resolved in two minutes has now dragged-on through two days, three message threads, and two forums because someone was more interested in starting a fight than in making a point.

I know for damn sure it was reported as a call out.
