I just watched today's Oprah with Ellen and Portia. Awesome.

I laughed, and cried. I didn't realize it but they were one of the few gay couples who were able to take advantage of that little donut hole that got filled after 8 when marriage equality still existed.

I've always loved Ellen, and I think I have always hoped she would be more active in the marriage equality movement, although I have still respected her decision to do what she feels she must for herself.

She and Portia are very fortunate to have a legally recognized marriage. I hope perhaps they will realize that enough to put something on the line to make it happen for others in California.
