There are no homosexuals
Many of our opponents are starting to deny homosexuals exist.

Matt Barber of Liberty University threw a fit because Prop 8 Judge Vaughn Walker is gay, but he didn’t call the judge a homosexual. No, he called him “an active practitioner of the homosexual lifestyle,” and said, “Judge Walker apparently chooses to engage in homosexual conduct,” and wrote of Walker’s “alleged lifestyle choices.”

The Mormon Church, according to one LDS website, says to use “homosexual” only as an adjective, never as a noun. It prefers the increasing popular phrase, “men with SSA .”

NARTH co-founder Joe Nicolosi has reportedly said there are no homosexuals, just heterosexuals with a homosexual problem.

It wasn’t always this way. Conservatives used to be certain we existed. Educational films warned kids about homosexuals. The State Department refused to hire homosexuals. Anita Bryant spread the word that homosexuals are out to recruit kids (since we can’t reproduce, you know).

1. Just like communsit Russia, so when they call Obama a communist
throw this back at them...they're more like communists than they'll ever admit.

2. This "choice" nonsense ought to be ridiculed at every opportunity.
No one chooses a sexual orientation any more than they can choose their eye color or height. I've shut more than one person up by simply asking, "When did you choose to be straight?"

6. Here's another one.
In support of the idea that evolution is not real, fundie's may cite Genesis 9:6: "for God made man in his own image."

My question to fundie: "How do you know God isn't an amoeba?"

From the Oxford Encyclopedic English Dictionary:

amoeba n. (US ameba) (pl. amoebas or amoebae) any usu. aquatic protozoan of the genus Amoeba, esp. A. proteus, capable of changing shape. Amoebic adj. amoeboid adj. (mod. L f. Gk amoibe change)

3. When I read the headline, I assumed the point was going to be something insightful...
...like "There are no homosexuals or heterosexuals, only human beings who should all be treated equally." But no, it's more psuedoscience bullshit. There are no gays, the Earth is 6000 years only, Jesus rode a dinosaur. Psuedoscience, what the rest of us call making shit up. Why let a mountain of reality get in the way of a paper cut-out of dogma?

Before reaching the conclusion that there are no gays, I wonder how many gay people they actually asked. I have always found the most compelling reason to think that gay people are born gay is the fact that they say they are.

WTF is SSA? And are their no women with SSA? As is customary, these people ignore the existence of lesbians.

7. Never heard of SSA, but I'd bet it stands for 'same sex addiction'
or something like that, making it a treatable condition.

8. Attraction . . .
I'd bet it is for same sex attraction . . . Homosexuality was removed from the psychiatric diagnostic manual (DSM IV) some time ago. However, the DSM V is due out in the fall, so it will be interesting to see what is in there for sexual addictions.

13. I think I just peed a little

Who cares what anyone does with their pink parts in any arrangement of pink parts. It's like worrying about people using their left hand instead of their right . . . .

And so what if some of us like a little strange now and then - it SHOULD be a protected personal choice. What next, people who don't fuck in the missionary position should have an entry in the DSM or else should have their CHOICE of position criticized in moral terms?

Jeepers - until and unless we regulate the PURPOSE of sex, the practice of sex has no bearing on anything at all in modern life. We are so damn backwards in our land of "FREEDOMS" it still astonishes me we are allowed to choose whether to piss standing up or squatting.

14. In all fairness...

The question relative to any behavior is whether it interferes with the patient's ability to manage his or her life.

Hand washing is pretty normal and beneficial too. But if you've ever known someone with severe OCD, the amount of time and attention devoted to washing their hands keeps them from doing anything else, and causes problems for them.

5. Shun the "Active Practioners of the Heterosexual Lifestyle"
Heterosexuals and the unpleasant sexual acts they perform down there should be shunned.

10. Interesting tactic.
They certainly don't want us being recognized as a minority. So instead, we just have a "problem."
