Co-discoverer of AIDS Virus joins reception for Radnofsky
"By telling someone he's condemned to die, by your words alone you have condemned him."

These famous words, spoken by Professor Luc Montagnier, co-discoverer of the AIDS virus, symbolize the spirit of hope and the commitment to cure AIDS by one of the greatest virologists since Louis Pasteur.

Professor Montagnier will join U.S. Senate candidate Barbara Ann Radnofsky (of Texas, challenging Kay Bailey Hutchison) at a reception fundraiser for her campaign on Wednesday, September 28, 2005, at Houston's Intercontinental Hotel at 5:00 p.m. A giant in the world of modern medicine, Montagnier has been a powerful force for research and treatment of patients with cancer and AIDS.

Radnofsky has worked with Montagnier as a founding member of the Friends World Foundation for AIDS Research and Prevention.

Anyone interested in health care, AIDS, or medical research is invited to attend. Please RSVP to Kim Grout at 281-693-1801. Suggested minimum contributions for tickets are $250.

I won't be attending, but I'm delighted that BAR is drawing this kind of support.
