we had our annual suicide awareness presentation at our faculty meeting today
and not one word in it about either bullying or gays. I ended up commenting after the presentation since I found that absence so glaring. Honestly though, I am tired of having to bring stuff like that up, the district should have. Plus we do our faculty meeting by plan period so only about 1/4th of the faculty heard my comment. All I did was ask that they keep a look out for anti gay bullying in light of the nine suicides by people bullied for being gay or thought of as gay.

1. Don't you know this isn't a crisis until the right wing noise machine becomes outraged by it
Sadly, I don't think that will be happening any time soon.
