who are good, but get hated soon as they start moderating. i have often felt bad for mods. very few of us take responsibility for our own actions and mods get blamed. i mean dont get me wrong, i think there are less than great mods and less than perfect dealings with our community. the one reason, i haven't really wanted to do this before, is because its a straight ticket to unpopularity

I think its really important to have an involved moderator who has some basis for understanding the dynamics of interchange and to have a real life and I think you qualify on all counts.

It will be challenging and that's good that you know that going in.
