Do you ever have a day where you just overload your brain?
Well I'm having one of those days today. :-(

I use to run a website & decided over the weekend to start another. I waited till today to make sure everything was propagated & started to work on the site. I realized my software was a couple of years old & I haven't really done much with designs as of late so I feel like I am starting from scratch. I bought new software for designing a site then I decided to buy a photoshop program for all my images, then I said what the hell & got High impact 5 professional for my emails. Got all the software loaded & started reading the manuals one after another then began the brain meltdown (I tried doing to much at one time).

I just want to have my own place on the web & I also want to have a very gay friendly website. I also have a ton of pictures & videos I want to share with the world & even do a blog. But as of right now I'm going to give my brain a break and chill out for the rest of this evening & start anew in the morning.

Sorry If I sound like I'm rambling (my brain really is fried right now).

2. I'm recording CupCake Wars, Glee & NCIS right now.
When they are done I'll watch them. I always record my shows so I can fast forward through the commercials.

whopping 150 MB of server space and my own domain name. I just lucked up and got it through my ISP. I have since changed from that ISP because I wanted broadband. I have had only 5 MB of space for a web site since then. Even at that, the URL to get to it is so long and discombobulated that even I cannot remember it.

I tried monkeying around with Myspace and ended up realizing that just dealing with Myspace was giving me flashing graphics induced headaches from Hell. I hate Myspace. I really really do. I like an animated gif every now and then, but damn, that place is like a rave on steroids. I'm just not into that. Plus, CSS, the way Myspace forces you to use it, at least, really gave me a headache. If used in a better way, CSS is great, but the way Myspace unleashed it on poor unsuspecting people was nothing but a guaranteed instant headache.

I wish I could find my own home online with support for VRML or some other 3D technology again one day. 5 MB just doesn't cut it though. What I want to do is relive those days when I was on Cybertown and they had the VRML apartments and everyone could visit each other. Imagine combining The Palace, VRML (or newer better 3D programs) and making that into a virtual hangout for GLBT people online. That was what I wanted to do. I have some of the skills needed to do that, but the older VRML programs are no longer available and half of them do not work with Windows XP or Windows 7.

I've been playing with Google Sketchup lately. It's an amazing little free program that allows you to do pretty much what the old VRML programs did, only it is free from the beginning and uses lots less memory. I just cannot figure out if there would be a way to have a sort of GLBT Cybertown that is free. Cybertown used to be free, then they started charging for it later. It was a great idea in the beginning though. I wish VRML and virtual hangout/chat worlds had really flourished. Instead, one of the best ideas to ever hit the internet turned into another lost dream.

I miss having a web site.
