Tyler Clementi's Lover Will Be Revealed — to Ravi

Dharun Ravi, the former Rutgers student accused of secretly filming a sexual encounter between his roommate Tyler Clementi and another man — possibly contributing to Clementi's suicide — will be informed who the other man in the tape is.

Ravi faces charges of intimidation and invasion of privacy in a trial starting Feb. 21, 2012; Ravi previously refused a plea deal that would have netted him at most five years. A judge ruled on Thursday that Ravi's defense team can be informed of Clementi's partner in the video. The man's name "may not be disseminated to anyone besides defendant Dharun Ravi, his lawyer and his lawyer's investigator," reports NJ.com.

The man in the video, known as M.B., has claimed in court filings that he has "continuous and overwhelming" fears of privacy invasion should his identity be released to the public.

Ravi's defense team also recently tried to get Judge Glenn Berman to recuse himself from the case because Berman's cousin is making a documentary on internet bullying; the request was denied.

If this person isn't accusing Ravi of anything then I don't understand why Ravi thinks it's important to know his identity.

i wish there was more to know from a legal perspective.
