"Brazil in a lather over soap's gay kiss"

I've never seen any of the Brazilian soaps, but our local Mexican restuarant plays "telenovelas" if you know the right time of day to be there. If business is slow, the staff will sit with you and watch along...

Parts of Brazil are very liberal about gay issues but there's a strong Catholic and macho opposition too. But they are definitely moving forward not backward. One state has already equalized marriage and others have movements towards it. And of course the Pride parade in Sao Paulo has been the largest in the world the last two years running.

With New Orleans and Key West in ruins, its about all thats left.

That's not as bad as here in the U.S. If such a thing were shown here, the GOP would be out en force claiming the apocalypse is upon us. American Neo-Cons would be demanding the actors be charged with a crime punishable by capital punishment.

One look at that photo of Bruno and I'm ready to hop the next flight to Rio just in case he should need any "coaching" in the finer points of male-on-male smooching!

Does anyone know if Brazilian soaps ever have need of semi-pro "fluffers"?

Or anything. Or just keep laying there in the sand like that. If the other party to the scandalous kiss is anything like him, I just might have to learn Spanish.

On second thought, who cares about the words? :-D

I think "uhmmmm mmm ahhh" is the same in any language :-)
