Newt Gingrich and Gay Marriage...includes interesting picture
Gingrich spoke about California's Proposition 8 in August 2010. At the time, a federal judge overturned the ballot measure approved in November 2008. The statewide vote banned gay marriage by a vote of 52 percent to 48 percent.

"Judge Walker's ruling overturning Prop 8 is an outrageous disrespect for our Constitution and for the majority of people of the United States who believe marriage is the union of husband and wife. In every state of the union from California to Maine to Georgia, where the people have had a chance to vote they've affirmed that marriage is the union of one man and one woman," Gingrich said, according to Slate.com.

At a question-and-answer session in Fort Dodge, Iowa, Sept. 29, Gingrich told a crowd of voters that gay marriage is a temporary issue.

From the Des Moines Register, Gingrich said, "I believe that marriage is between a man and woman. It has been for all of recorded history and I think this is a temporary aberration that will dissipate. I think that it is just fundamentally goes against everything we know."

3. It's illegal in Minnesota
609.34 FORNICATION.

When any man and single woman have sexual intercourse with each other, each is guilty of fornication, which is a misdemeanor.

5. The problem with people like him
(besides the overwhelming bigotry)...

"I believe that marriage is between a man and woman. It has been for all of recorded history

is that they don't know history.

7. There's something wrong when..
a large group of people get to vote against something they
don't participate in. A lot of statistics show that for
a lot of different issues only 10% of the population is
directly affected.

Why should a large group of bigots be able to vote against
the rights of a small group of people (i.e., heterosexuals
get to vote against gay marriage)

There needs to be some precedent established blocking morons
from squashing the freedoms of, not only small groups but
individuals who should have the right to choose.

These people really piss me off!
