California Illegally Barring Gay Marriage Appeals Court Told

Lawyers for 12 same-sex couples presented their written arguments for gay marriage Wednesday to the California Court of Appeal in San Francisco.

"The California Constitution guarantees each of us the right to choose the person with whom we wish to join in marriage, the brief states.

"The State is violating this fundamental right by excluding same-sex couples from marriage because of their gender and sexual orientation."

1. Well, I hope this makes that steroid using asshole in Sacremento happy.

Since, when he vetoed the legislation that was passed in the California Assembly, he said that we should seek legal redress in the courts.

Of course it won't, since he's pandering to the religious right in his state.

I wish the plantiffs well. I'm looking at this story as a glimmer of good news.

Sorry for my tone. I'm not a happy camper today.
