1. I saw it...
The story was good, but I thought the acting was really bad. The characters would have been so much more vivid with better actors. Overall, a good movie though.

5. I really enjoyed that movie ...
... especially the young man who played Aaron (I think that's his name ... the Mormon missionary).

It was good to see Jacqueline Bisset in it, too, though her part wasn't well fleshed out in the script, IMO. Mary Kay Place was a real stand-out, too!

I also thought the kid who played another one of the missionaries (he used to be on Third Rock from the Sun) was good in what was basically a one-note role. (He was much, MUCH better in Mysterious Skin!)

I really wanted to like the kid who played Christian, the West Hollywood club kid, but I just didn't think his performance was on par with the other lead.

Oh, and I can't say enough good things about the great sound track to the movie, too! I loved some of the songs! ("You can hate the blacks, the Jews and the fags/just as long as you remember to salute the flag")

I've watched it four or five times and still get choked up at the end of it!

He also played a gay guy in That Seventy Show too.

8. I even purchased the DVD
As a gay Christian, I loved it. God does indeed work in mysterious ways.

10. I loved it...
and bought the DVD. Every now and again I will take it with me when I travel and pop it in my laptop on a plane. I love to watch the reaction of the people seated nearby who you KNOW are watching.

May I also suggest "Gone but Not Forgotten."

11. I loved this movie.
I grew up in Utah and knew several gay returned missionaries. Every time we went out to the bars they would run into former mission companions. I'm sure situations like this movie happen a lot more than the Mormon Church would like to admit...
