Gay Canadian Cabinet Official Admits Drug Use

One of the most important politicians in Ontario and the first openly gay cabinet minister in the province's history has acknowledged a drug problem.
George Smitherman, Ontario's Minister of Health, made the revelation at an awards dinner this week at the Center for Addiction and Mental Health.

The title of the dinner was the "Courage to Come Back Awards".

In an exclusive interview with the Toronto Star Smitherman said that the sign made him change his prepared speech and raise the issue for the first time.
