Instead of ban, library to put gay sex books on top shelves
http://www.washblade.com/thelatest/thelatest.cfm?blog_id=7658

The Nampa Public Library Board has decided not to remove a sexually explicit book — "The Joy of Gay Sex" — from library shelves.

Some residents wanted it banned because of its content.

Library Board Chairman Sharon Brooks says the issue is not about the contents of one book, but about whether individuals should be able to remove material they don't like from a public library.

In yesterday's meeting, the board did approve putting that book and about 60 other sexually oriented books on top shelves.

I have no problem with this

1. Good solution
I guess. Personally, I can't get to the lowest shelves, but kids can. I guess only tall gay folks can take advantage of the joy of gay sex in Nampa.

3. Nope, it's called COMPROMISE
and if the tender Chrstian flowers don't have the stuff at eye level, maybe they can forgive knowing it's out of sight.

Nah.

It might be easier to tell them to keep their eyes in their heads and their minds out of the gutter if the librarians know they had to go looking for it to find it.
