Anyone know the current polling of the amendment in Wisconsin?

There is an excellent chance that this proposed amendment banning same-sex marriage in Wisconsin could lose tomorrow night. That would be a tremendous victory for us.

2. I really haven't seen any polling on this issue

It would be wonderful news to see it fail! It's going to be hard to keep track of all the important races tomorrow night. We might have to post a marriage-ammendment round-up here a few days after the election.

Understandably, the House and Senate races will take priority around here tomorrow night. Maybe we can post a rundown of the various amendments around the country here on Wednesday.

The poll, which surveyed 271 likely voters selected from state voter lists, also shows nearly two-to-one opposition to a proposed constitutional amendment banning gay marriage.

Democrats and amendment foes are counting on heavy turnout in Dane County to put them over the top in Tuesday's statewide elections.

On the marriage amendment, 65 percent said they planned to vote against it, while a little more than 30 percent said they planned to vote for it. Those numbers appear to be in line with private polls on the issue.

The poll, which was conducted between Oct. 26 and Nov. 2, had a margin of error of 5 percentage points.
