The wonder of the gay mafia
I moved to North Carolina about three years ago. When I left Ohio my brother was a functioning alcoholic. Since then he has pretty much become a non functioning one. I didn't know a soul in the town where he is currently living. But a person at my church, a church I only attended due to the fact I found out it was gay friendly, put me in touch with a minister whose church's ministry is hopeless addicts. I wouldn't have met the people who introduced me to this woman had I not been gay. If this intervention works, my brother will have been saved due to my being gay. Who would have thunk it? Thank goodness for the gay mafia.

1. heheh......
I am happy for you on this, dsc. Thank goodness for that church, I remember when you first found it, and how it helped. And I am an atheist. ;) Who would have thunk it?

Peace, kiddo. For you and your family.

3. thanks
It is by no means a done deal, as I full well know. I know from experience how long a road he has in front of him. I have pretty much come full circle in regards to God. I was a very strong Christian growing up and until about age 20, then was not a Christian until about age 37.

I guess we are both without a candidate in the primary wars. I am leaning toward Richardson on experience but I figure Edwards and Obama will split the vote here. Maybe a great Gov or Senate candidate will light my fire.

6. That reminds me of that episode of Will & Grace
Where Jack was afraid of the "Gay Mafia." Remember?
