Deutsche Bank Accused Of Gay Bias

One of the world's most powerful banking companies appears in a London court today accused of allowing homophobic and racist slurs against a senior employee.

Sid Saeed, a gay man of Pakistani heritage, filed the discrimination case under Britain's new equality law which protects gays and lesbians in the workplace.

Saeed was employed by the international bank at its London offices to assess financial risk. His work trying to save the bank vast sums on a range of international projects earned him the moniker 'the Oracle'.

Doesn't Germany have better laws on our question than the USA?

I suppose a German company acting outside of Germany is not bound by German law. Is that it?

I'm pretty sure they have gay marriage as a civil institution, correct me if I am wrong.

Or is this an accusation of criminal wrongdoing as it would not be in most of the USA (state and local laws vary).
