Unofficial campaign to stop 8 on DU - join in

Hey - we really need to stop Prop 8. (Same with the other two ammendments - I just pick out 8 because I think it more visible).

So I have statrted to add to the bottom of every post I make the following:

I will do so until november 5th - please join in to help. Feel free to use a different link etc. I really feel if we all do this we can make a difference.

2. Oh, if you don't mind, I'm going to make that my sig until election day.
Thanks; we PFLAGers out here have been working very hard to defeat it. What works is the ads; the undecideds decide to vote 'no' after they see the ads. So, please donate to the campaign.

5. Thats a good idea too :)
I wish the sig line was a little darker and easy to see though... but it still is a good way to get some donations and support!

6. Same here in San Diego - of the people I know...
but I did see a "yes on 8" sign on the way to work today - so did the woman who almost hit my car because she was looking at it too LOL...

8. Haven't seen any yes on 8, but have seen the ridiculously stupid ads on TV.
I was shocked at the level of stupidity of the ads. Who is this bizarre guy from Pepperdine. At any rate, I can not imagine 8 passing.

11. Lots of Yes on 8 people in my suburban neighborhood
They were out in force this morning, protecting their marriages by waving big signs.

Damn they piss me off. Invalidating my friends' marriages won't keep theirs from breaking up nor will it "defend" their children in any way. Focus on your own damn family, people.

I bought my gear and I'm driving around with my No on 8 bumper sticker.
