El Pollo Loco owner donated $6000 to Yes on 8
I love El Pollo Loco, but man, I'm never eating there again.
Roland Spongberg Chief Executive Officer of WKS Restaurant group which owns 35
El Pollo Loco Restaurants, donated $6000 to Yes on 8.
In 2006 he signed a deal to open 15 El Pollo Loco locations throughout
the state of Utah. Looks like he's a nice little mormon boy!

5. No... he owns 35 in CA
He's expanding to Utah. His company is based in Irvine, Ca.
I'll try get the locations of his CA restaurants. Personally I'm not eating there again.

6. Hmmm... looks like our gay $$$ are getting their attention
Owner of Marriott Hotels issued a statement yesterday on Marriott website saying he didn't send any money in to Yes on 8!
I say bullshit... he's a member of LDS church and you can bet your bottom dollar he tithes 10% to the mormon church.
They take away our civil rights and then they have the nerve to want our $$$$!
Unbelievable!

18. Please make sure they are owned by WKS before you boycott!
Not to preach here, but just make sure the one by your house is a franchise owned by WKS and not owned by someone with no affiliation to Roland Spongberg.

See he donated $2300 to Romney campaign too. Now, nothing wrong with someone donating to a candidate of their choice, BUT when it comes to donating to a campaign that strips someone of their civil rights... now thats a WHOLE LOT of wrong!

...by adding the info to facebook page it'll propagate to all your facebook contacts. Please let the power of facebook help in spreading the word about El Pollo Loco and all the other businesses (Mormon and non-Mormon, alike) and their anti-human rights agenda.

Marriott Hotels (includes Courtyards too)
Block and Decker (tools and related products)
Bluehost.com webhosting site (these assholes suspended my business account and blocked my business emails after I posted photos to my website which had "no on 8" content)
JetBlue airlines

14. NOT all Pollo Loco - please read the following
I have no interest in protecting anybody who is a bigot, but it isn't the company El Pollo Loco, but a company called WKS Restaurant Corporation. They do own the largest number of El Pollo Loco franchises according to this http://www.elpolloloco.com/whatsnew/press_text.asp?news_id=171 but they are a totally separate company. What we need to do is find out which franchises they own and do a specific boycott targeting WKS Restaurants and Roland Spongberg. It isn't a good long term strategy to potentially damage innocent restaurant owners who have nothing to do with WKS.

Let's do our homework first and then the boycott can be specific and effective!

Wondering how to find out which ones... There has to be a way, then publish the addresses of those and protecting the other folks who just happen to own a franchise that a bigot owns.
