Gay Rights 'Creates Discrimination'
http://www.365gay.com/newscon05/03/031705montana.htm

and in further news, white is now black and up is now down

Legislation to include gays and lesbians in Montana's human rights law is discrimination against Christians foes of the measure have declared at a House committee hearing.

"It's an abomination in God's sight," Peter Merkes of Helena said of homosexuality at a House Judiciary Committee which was holding public hearings on the bill.

"You're asking Christian people to support with their tax money something that is diametrically opposed to God's word," he told the committee. "We cannot go there. God's going to hold you accountable."

1. Then I guess we can never go to war again.
War is against many American's religious beliefs & I don't think I or they should have their tax money go to supporting something that is so "diametrically opposed to God's word."

3. Typical sociopathic tool. They make themselves out to be the victim.
The question is who is going after who here. That is how you tell who the victim is. Who goes into somebody else's life and attacks them there. That victim is the one whose life is actually affected. The victim is the gay couples who want to have the same rights and privileges as the heteros... and nobody is telling a Christian that their marriage has to be changed in any way.

This is just an attempt to rally the troops so that they back SS or something. George Bush if you keep your patsies busy..they may not notice you doing nothing on the things you promised them during the election.

***holes!

4. Good. Let them keep bringing up religion
And their mindless "abomination before God" talk. It makes them look like they can't come up with a good secular reason to be against gay rights. People then see it as more of a separation of church and state issue.

5. Well, we wouldn't want to spend God's tax dollars for that sort of thing,
Edited on Sat Mar-19-05 05:43 AM by BR_Parkway
would we? </sarcasm>

I don't want my tax dollars supporting this twist of Christianity into "hate all gays" - so they need to give up that tax exempt status, start paying in the money

6. Hypocrisy in Action
People use all this talk of Christian beliefs, moral values, family values, traditional values, etc. as euphenisms for denying law-abiding Americans equal rights under the law which, since we are not a theocracy, there is no excuse for not granting it in the first place. Some of these same people used "traditional values" to justify segregation. Also these people talk so much about moral values but never say anything about war, or poverty. Apparently they don't consider those moral values.
