On the Ohio Marriage ban, if you signed a prenuptial prior to getting
married, since it talks about how property is divided up if the marriage is dissolved wouldn't that be banned now? There can be no legal standing given to anything that looks like marriage or it's benefits.

I'm sure I'm not phrasing this right, but I'm sincerely hoping that one of these "family values" ReThugs that put this on the ballot gets caught with his pants around his ankles and his wife is able to clean his clock USING this amendment.

1. No.
A prenuptual agreement contemplates a nuptual. No marriage, no effect.

2. What about alimony then? It is also termed spousal support in some
areas. If I were married, then got a divorce and was required to support my ex-wife as though I were still married, or in the style to which she got accustomed - wouldn't that be a legal incidence that would trigger the ban?

We've got to be able to show some of these folks "so sorry you dumbass, you voted for it, you were in such a knee jerk fit to make sure them queers couldn't marry" now live with it or change it.

3. Well, I don't know.
I would think alimony is okay. "Palimony" might be out, but I dont' think there's going to be a huge outcry over that, either.
